February 14, 2007

Ray Kenny has rejoined Bray Wanderers from Shamrock Rovers, eight years after helping the Seagulls to the FAI Cup crown.

Kenny was part of Pat Devlin’s side* which overcame Finn Harps after two replays in 1999.

He subsequently spent time at Harps and Kildare County before joining Shamrock Rovers in 2005.

But the 33-year-old returns to the Carlisle Grounds ahead of the 2007 eircom League season, joining other experienced signings such as Steve Williams, Alan Cawley and Clive Delaney, signed from Shelbourne, Waterford United and Derry City respectively in the close-season.

Three players on the way out of Wanderers, however, are Michael Roche, Darren Lacey and Willie Murphy.

Roche and Lacey have both signed for Carnegie Premier League side Loughgall United, while Murphy has joined nearby Leinster Senior League outfit Greystones United.
