There was a surprise outcome to the National Hurling League Division 2A clash at Páirc Tailteann with favourites Meath outpointed by Wicklow. After the sides were level three times in the opening 10 minutes, Wicklow took control and a sequence of scores from sharpshooter Jonathan O'Neill put them in control.
The Garden County side galloped eight points clear and it was 0-12 to 0-7 at the break.
Meath were unable to get closer than four points and and Wicklow closed the match out.
