Bray Wanderers avoid bottom in gritty draw
November 11, 2006
In a heated affair at Dalymount Park last night, Bray Wanderers kept their hopes of avoiding finishing bottom in the eircom Premier League with a gritty draw against Bohs, writes Neil Ahern.
Bohs made a flying start when Conor Powell broke free on the left after three minutes. His cross was met by the head of Stephen Rice and when Chris O'Connor parried, Aidan O'Keeffe powered home.
Early in the second half, Wanderers were back into the game when Stephen Fox drilled a shot invitingly across goal. The ball fell kindly for Paul O'Reilly at the back post who hammered home from close range.
However, O'Reilly turned villain seven minutes later when he controlled the ball with his hand and was sent off. With 84 minutes gone, O'Keeffe was sent off for a second yellow after barging David Tyrell.
