Wicklow's Champions Bring Case to DRAThursday, August 2 2007Wicklow's football champions St Patrick's are bringing their case to the Disputes' Resolution Authority (DRA) over their controversial 'draw' with Shillelagh in the local SF Championship. Referee Liam Cullen made the game a draw (2-7 to 1-10), but this came as something of a surprise to some observers - including local reporters - who had St Patrick's winning by a point (2-7 to 1-9). Already, the Wicklow town side have lost two appeals to both Wicklow's Central Controls Committee and the Leinster Council on the issue, which has held up the championship. |
