Predatory corner-forward Wayne O'Gorman netted two second-

half goals as the Wicklow hurlers booked their place in the Division 2 semi-finals with a hard-earned win over Derry in Arklow yesterday.

Wicklow, the surprise packets of the league, finish the group stage with a 100 per cent record, but they had to battle valiantly to survive against a Derry side who looked much sharper and were pressing in search of a winning goal right to the end.

Derry started brightly with points from Ruairi Convery and Sean McBride, but an Enan Glynn goal helped the home team into a 1-6 to 0-7 lead at the break.
