Wicklow Girls Host Leinster Underage Cup

Next Saturday April 21st, Wicklow RFC plays host to this year’s end of season Girl's Rugby Blitz. Teams will be coming from Armagh, Wexford, Thurles, Ardee, Virginia, and Gorey, to compete against WRFC U15 and U18 girls.

Kick off is at 11.00am and all teams will be competing for 2 Leinster Cups. Up to eleven underage teams will compete throughout the day in order to gain their spot in the finals. They will play a series of games, having to qualify from their section to progress in the competition, culminating with the U 15’s final at 4 pm and the U18’s final at 4.45 pm.

A great day is expected with what promises to be a thrilling day of entertaining rugby and a great event for Wicklow RFC and Girls’ Rugby in Leinster. We are pleased to announce that Rugbytech & Coca Cola will be showing their support to underage girls’ rugby by providing prizes on the day. So why not come down and show your support for the girls as it looks set to being a great day out for all the family.
