Wicklow Dual Star Faces Sidelines

Wicklow football boss Mick O'Dwyer will not be pleased that dual player Leighton Glynn received a straight red card in this Division 2A tie at Dr Cullen Park yesterday.

Glynn and Carlow defender Shane Kavanagh were dismissed following a melee in first-half injury-time. Carlow substitute Jack Kavanagh also received a straight red late on for pulling on an opponent.

The Garden men, despite playing against the wind, scored two early goals through Seanie Furlong and Wayne O'Gorman, which helped the visitors to a 2-4 to 1-7 interval lead, Carlow's Brendan Lawler finding the net in the 33rd minute.

Wicklow outscored the home side by 0-10 to a point in the second half.
