Bray Wanderers have signed goalkeeper Chris O’Connor on for another year at the Carlisle Grounds. The 28-year-old has played 128 games for the Co. Wicklow club since joining in 2003, but his previous contract ran out this summer.

Mick O'Dwyer finally commenced training with his Wicklow football panel some two months behind schedule. The delay appears to have been caused by the hold-up in finishing the local senior football championship which only ended two weeks ago.

Thomas Walsh has revealed he has no intention of return to the Carlow set-up, Walsh controversially transferred to the Garden County last year and was part of the side that achieved success in the Tommy Murphy Cup. However, speculation was rife that new Carlow boss Paul Bealin was on a mission to bring him back to the Barrowsiders for the 2008 campaign.
