Bray Emmets O hAnnaidh back for Wicklow

Saturday, November 24 2007

Good news has filtered through for County Wicklow after Brendan O hAnnaidh confirmed that he will be back in contention for them next season.

After missing last year's league campaign due to working abroad, the defender will now be back in action for Mick O'Dwyer's side once the panel get together for training.

The Bray Emmets clubman should be back to full fitness when Wicklow prepare for their opening National League fixture against Antrim.

The defender will also be available for the crunch meeting with Dublin in the O'Byrne Cup in January, where the winners will face either DIT or Westmeath.

Since claiming glory in the Tommy Murphy Cup, there has been a lot of excitement in the county about the senior football team. So this latest piece of good news is very welcome ahead of the new season.
