Water Concerns at Arklow Count Centre

Water was turned off in Arklow, and toilets closed at the Wicklow count centre in the town earlier today.

Officials were concerned that the water supply could be contaminated following a break-in at the local reservoir overnight.

Staff were been told that the count will continue and that water would be brought into the centre, but the mains supply has now been turned on again.
