Roof Funding Approved for Arklow Community School

Dick Roche T.D., Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government today (5th April '06) welcomed the Department of Education and Science's approval of funding for roof works at Arklow Community College.

Following representations from Minister Roche, the Department of Education and Science has provided funding from the 2007 contingency fund for the roof works..

Minister Roche said, "I am pleased that the necessary funding has been provided for the necessary works to the roof of the college, I am very much aware of the necessity of these woeks for the teachers and students alike. Our children deserve the best in education and I believe that the ongoing modernisation of school buildings is essential to this"

"This approval by my cabinet colleague the Minister for Education and Science reflects my determination to deliver on education in Wicklow", concluded Minister Roche.
