Kelly Calls for Emergency Action on Wicklow WaterWednesday, April 25 2007Cllr. Nicky Kelly, General Election Candidate, has called for emergency action to tackle the drinking water problem in a number of areas in County Wicklow. The quality of drinking water in a number of areas excludes it from human consumption or for use by children he stated.
Areas in Arklow, Thomastown, Avoca, Ballinaclash are the lesser versions of Galway; but still is totally unsatisfactory. Proper drinking water is a basis facility for any community, unfortunately many communities have to purchases drinking water for their households. Immediate government funding is needed to address this health and safety hazard and upgrade the system. |
