Hope for Collapsed Wicklow Firm's Customers

Friday, March 30 2007

Most of the customers of a Wicklow company which supplied windows and doors will now receive their orders, according to its liquidator.

Wicklow-based Swedex went into liquidation last Friday with the loss of 45 jobs and 27 in a connected company. This left a number of customers uncertain about whether they would receive products they had ordered.

Provisional liquidator Michael McAteer said an agreement in principle had been reached with Swedex's two main suppliers - both Estonian companies. The two firms will supply outstanding customers orders that are 'in transit'.
