Funding For Wicklow Youth Development Schemes

Dick Roche, T.D., Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, has welcomed the news that the Government has approved the allocation of almost €45,000 from the Dormant Accounts Fund to groups in the Wicklow area.

Bray Partnership is to receive €30,000 to enhance Youth Leadership Programmes, Numeracy/Literacy Support, Mentoring Support, Life Skills and Social and Personal Education. "The young are the future of Ireland and I heartily welcome any support which enhances their lives and prepares them for the road ahead, said the Minister.

Meanwhile, Arklow Community Enterprise Limited is to receive €15,000 to engage young people in a cycle of positive recreation and personal development training.
