Funding for Enniskerry and Kilmacanogue LightingFriday, March 30 2007Wicklow TD and Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, Liz McManus TD has welcomed the news that Wicklow County Council has provided funding for improvement works in Enniskerry and Kilmacanogue.
“I very much welcome the news that Wicklow County Council has provided funding for public lighting at Ballybrew in Enniskerry and also public lighting on the Quill Road in Kilmacanogue on the section of the road closest to Kilmacanogue Village. In addition, the Council is providing funding for improvement works to the Right of Way at Monastery in Enniskerry which will include public lighting and barriers. I understand also that the footpaths on Monastery Road are to be upgraded and the road resurfaced. “I know the residents - both in Enniskerry and on the Quill Road in Kilmacanogue - will benefit from these improvements as they have been petitioning for improvement works to be carried out in these areas for a long time now”, concluded Deputy McManus. |
