Funding Announced for Wicklow Disability ServicesSunday, April 15 2007Dick Roche T.D., Minister for the Environment, Heritage & Local Government has announced that the Government has approved an allocation of €342,313 from the Dormant Accounts Fund to 2 projects in Wicklow to support people with disabilities.
The funding announced today in the Disability category covers Supports for Small Scale Building and Building Enhancements in Existing Residential Care Units "The provision of this funding for the capital projects in the disability sector is further proof of this Government's commitment to access and equity of services for people with disabilities. This funding will have a disproportionately beneficial effect on the lives of people with disabilities and shows once again the enormous good being done by targeted and focussed spending of Dormant Accounts funds on the people and communities who need it most." Said Minister Roche. St John of God Carmona Services, Co Wicklow Building enhancements to include family room and multi-sensorial room. €300,000 Sunbeam House Services, Co Wicklow Renovate kitchen facilities. €42,313 |
