Tuesday, May 8 2007

Cllr. John Brady has described the May 8th re-instatement of the Stormont Assembly as a historic occasion for Ireland.

"I was invited to Belfast by the party leadership," said the Sinn Féin councillor.

"It was a real honour to meet once again with Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness. There was a real buzz in the Assembly. However, the parties now need to get down to the serious business of governance," Brady noted.

"The Six Counties faced many challenges. And the all-Ireland institutions and North-South ministerial councils must now be re-instated fully," Brady said.
