Avoca Recycling Centre Bookshop Re-opensFriday, August 3 2007The book shop at Avoca recycling centre is back – but no money is being accepted on the premises for security reasons.
The centre was hit by vandalism earlier this summer when thieves went on the rampage around the premises. The book exchange scheme was suspended for a while but is now back in operation. However, it has been decided that no money can be left on the premises in future. Customers are asked to lodge money instead in accounts specially set up at the credit union in Avoca and Rathdrum.
