€200,000 Funding for Wicklow Alzheimer SocietyMonday, April 16 2007Dick Roche T.D., Minister for the Environment, Heritage & Local Government has welcomed a further announcement that the Government has provided fundung of €200,000 from the Dormant Accounts Fund for the Alzheimer Society of Ireland, Co Dublin / Co Wicklow.
The funding is from the Dormant Accounts Fund towards Supports for Aids and Appliances for People with Physical and Sensory Disabilities who are Non-Medical Card Holders. "The provision of this funding for the disability sector is further proof of this Government's commitment to access and equity of services for people with disabilities. This funding will have a disproportionately beneficial effect on the lives of people with disabilities and shows once again the enormous good being done by targeted and focussed spending of Dormant Accounts funds on the people and communities who need it most." Said Minister Roche. |
