20-Year-Old Killed in Accident Near Arklow

Gardaí have launched an investigation into a fatal road accident near Arklow.

A 20-year-old man was killed after his car went out of control and into a field on the Beach Road, Arklow, Co Wicklow, sometime before 7.45am this morning.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was removed to Loughlinstown Hospital.

A male passenger was taken to the same hospital with serious injuries.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this collision, or who may have information to offer. to contact them at Arklow on 0402-32304, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666111, or any garda station.
