Apart from the paintings of individual artists, the Arts Centre is home to Arklow Visual Arts. Membership of the A.V.A is open to everyone with an interest in the Arts and the annual subscription is £10 for individuals and £15 for families. Group membership is available at £25 per annum. Members are kept up to date on proceedings in the Gallery and invitations issued to forthcoming openings and receptions. The artwork of the members is exhibited at special showings arranged approximatly at three monthy intervals. Interspersed with these members shows are exhibitions by established artists, or up and coming painters, perhaps with their first major exhibition. Big names to have shown their work include Bob Harcus, Tony Kew, Liam Treacy, Senan O'Brien and the multi-media and installation artist Douglas Ross from Bray. Other rising stars include Brenda Higgins, Mary Mc Neill, Caroline Hill, Linda O'Neill and Jacinta Crowley-Long.
The Arts Centre is home also to the Eircell Irish Press Photographers Association Awards Exhibition and The Irish Times "Exposure 99" Photographic Exhibition was recently housed in the Gallery.
