WicklowWay.com The Wicklow Way is a 132km self-guided walking trail through Wicklow, starting in Marlay Park, Co. Dublin and finishing in Clonegal, Co. Carlow. This website includes section by section trail descriptions, maps, accommodation listings and other useful information. Avelin Celtic Retreat also specializes in arranging walking holidays in Wicklow. Their site contains details of the walks on offer, contact info and accommodation rates. Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team The Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team provide a voluntary all weather year round search and rescue service in the Wicklow Mountains and responds to 40-50 callouts per year. If you require assistance dial 999/112 and ask for Mountain Rescue. A team callout officer will respond directly to you. Blainroe Rabbits The Blainroe Rabbits are a group of high handicaped (i.e. 17 or over) members of Blainroe Golf club who play every Friday night. Their site has all sorts of information, including results. They even have a humour section, which they probably need. Charlesland Golf Club Charlesland Golf Club is in Greystones. Their site includes maps, a price list and a noticeboard, and you can book online. Druids Glen Golf Club A comprehensive website full of information on the Druids Glen Golf Club near Newtownmountkennedy. The European Golf Club One page of basic information on the European Golf Club near Brittas Bay. Glen of the Downs golf club Glen of the Downs golf club, situated in north Wicklow is an eighteen hole championship course, complete with restaurant & bar which is open to the public. The site contains a course description, information on green fees and corporate services. Greystones Golf Club One of Ireland's longest established golf clubs, the Greystones Golf Club website has all the important details such as green fees, facilities, etc GolfEurope's Wicklow Golf Clubs page This page has a list and basic information on 18 of Wicklow's best golf clubs. Powerscourt Golf Course This website has all the information on the Powerscourt Estate, including full details on the golf course. There is information here on green fees, score cards, the Pro shop, and even on apartments available. You can get further information by email. Rathsallagh Golf & Country Club The small but elegant site of the Rathsallagh Golf & Country Club near Dunlavin. Includes a booking page. (Back to Top) Ballyrogan Equestrian Training Centre A full site on this riding centre near Redcross, but picture-heavy and so difficult to access over a modem. Bel-Air Hotel & Riding School A very brief page on the Bel-Air Hotel & Riding School in Ashford. Clara Country House B & B and Stables Clara Country House and Stables are located about half way between Rathdrum and Laragh at the foot of Kirkee Mountain. They also have an English instructor so you can learn the basics of the English language AND how to ride a horse at the same time. Devils Glen Holiday & Equestrian Village A full site with plenty of information on the Devils Glen Holiday & Equestrian Village near Ashford. You can even order a brochure. Grangebeg Equestrian Centre This is a very simple page from this Dunlavin guesthouse and equestrian centre. Only basic information. Hunter’s Moon Equestrian Centre Hunter’s Moon is located in Redcross and offers a range of equestrian activities including basic instruction, treks, hacks, liveries and hunting. Polo Wicklow This website has tons of information on polo at Polo Wicklow near Wicklow town. Its got an introduction, polo FAQs, the rules of polo, a weekly report, photos, links and lots more. Wicklow Trail Ride A page on the 'Wicklow Trail Ride' - a horse-riding trek around the county. Right now, It seems to be still under construction as it contains a few empty pages. It still has plenty of information though. Bray Emmets Founded in 1885, Bray Emmets are one of two clubs in the Bray area and their site contains a lot of information. You will find a club history, details of their teams, and info on the club shop Kilbride GAA Club Kilbride GAA Club is located in Manor Kilbride close to Blessington Lakes. Their site contains details of their club lotto, contact information, and a summery of current activities. Wicklow GAA Clubs Contains links to about four GAA clubs in Co. Wicklow (Back to Top) The Adventure Agency This Roundwood adventure sports centre offers everything from kayaking to falconry. Their website has full details of all their courses and programmes. The Bray Wheelers Cycle Club The Bray Wheelers site has a message board, photos, events, links, a members section and more. More than your average cycling club's website. Team-WORC -Wicklow Off Road Club Team-WORC is a Wicklow based Mountain Bike Club that was formed in early 2001. This looks like it will be a very informative site when it is fully up and running. At present it contains a club history and details of upcoming events. No contact information though Tarja Owens Tarja is a native of Delgany and is making a big name for herself on the bicycle racing circuit. Her site contains details of her achievements to date, a photograph gallery and even sponsorship info. Wicklow 200 This is the website of the Wicklow 200, a 200km cycling event around the mountains of Wicklow that takes place each June. The Wicklow 200 has been organised by the Irish Veteran Cyclists Association each year for over 20 years. (Back to Top) Arklow Sea School (Celtic Ventures) This is a comprehensive site on Arklow sea School's offerings, including courses on Irish Sea Yachting/ SRC (VHF) Training and Examination Centre (GMDSS compliant), and Yacht Management. It's got all the information you could want. Bray Sailing Club Bray Sailing Club has an active site which is updated frequently. The club has approx. 350 members, an active dinghy and cruiser fleet and provides both junior and adult traing. Bray Sailing Club is affiliated to the Irish Sailing Association and is a recognised training establishment.The club welcomes new members. Bray Leisure Bowl A colourful and comprehensive site from Bray Bowl. There's information on bowling and on all the other games and attractions at the centre. Irish Sea Tidal Notes Some general information on tides on the Irish sea. This page also includes out-of-date tidal times from 1997. Arklow Sailing Club Plenty of information on this new site from Arklow sailing Club. Here you will find details of upcoming club events and competitions. It also contains sailing tips, local navigation info and details of the local marina. It even contains a map with a short history and description of Arklow itself. WW Racing This is a kayaking website from France and contains photos and info from both the Aughrim and Avonmore rivers. You can also subscribe to their newsgroup. (Back to Top) Annamoe Trout Fishery Annamoe Trout Fishery 4 acre fly fishing lake is set in the village of Annamoe and is located about halfway between Laragh and Roundwood on the banks of the Avonmore River. Their Fly Fishing Lake is open all year round and allows you to fish for Brown and Rainbow Trout from 10am to dusk. Arklow Angling A few details on sea fishing around Arklow from 'where-to-fish.com!. Bray Head Fishing Club Bray Head Fishing And Social Club was founded in 1964 and hosts several competitions each year. There is plenty of information about the club on their site and you will also find a guestbook and photo page. Ezefishingireland.net This looks like it will be a very comprehensive, informative site on fishing in Ireland and Co Wicklow once it is fully up and running. Right now it is still under construction and it still contains several empty pages. Wicklow Angling River and sea fishing information for all the rivers and beaches in Wicklow. Tells you what bait to use, when to fish and what you'll catch. Excellent site if you're into catching fish. Wicklow Sea Angling This Wicklow section of www.infowing.ie has details on sea fishing in Wicklow from Bray to Arklow's south beach and further south. (Back to Top) National Target Shooting Association The National Target Shooting Association website, which carries news on target shooting, as shot in Rathdrum, Co.Wicklow and by the Fassaroe Sporting Club, and the Dublin Rifle Club whose range is located near Manor Kilbride, above the Sally Gap. Rathdrum Rugby Football Club An excellent and comprehensive site from the Rathdrum Rugby Football Club. It has all the information on the club athat you could want, including news, match reports, fixtures, events and much more. There's even a chat room! Byrne's School's of Taekwon Do, Aughrim Byrne's School's of Taekwon Do is part of the Action International Matial Arts Association. Their website has plenty of information about Taekwon Do in Wicklow and Ireland. Grangecon AFC The homepage of Grangecon AFC, a soccer club based in Grangecon. There are photos, fixtures, and match results and reports. Bray Allsorts Softball Club Bray Allsorts Softball Club was founded in 1997 and are the only softball club in Wicklow. They currently have 2 C0-Ed teams (male and female) and training is every Tuesday in Ballywaltrium Park, Southern Cross Road Bray. New Players very welcome Gerystones Mariners So you thought that baseball was a wholly American pastime. Well the news is that it is alive and well and thriving in Greystones and indeed has been for the past eleven years. The Greystones Mariners site has plenty of information on their club including a club history, schedule and player stats. No contact information though Arklow Community Games and Arklow Gym Club Community Games is an Olympic styled movement open to children seventeen years of age and under. Just about every sport is covered, including basketball, soccer, hurling, pitch and putt, and of course, gymnastics. The site contains a history, training times, and competition results. Arklow Ravens School of Taek Won Do Arklow Taek Won Do club's website contains a history of the club. You will also find a selection of photographs and details of their instructors and committee. Bray Wanderers AFC Bray Wanderers Football Club has a very informative website. Here you will find details of results and upcoming fixtures, club merchandise, newspaper articles and details of their achievements to date (and there are many) The Cricket Centre The Cricket Centre, in Bray, supplies all kinds of cricket gear. The page has only minimal details. Crossfire Paintball Games This site is for folks who like to run around in the woods near Enniskerry shooting each other with paint. Their site has every detail you could want. East Coast Cruisers Volleyball Club This Dublin and Wicklow club's site has loads of information including team and player profiles, committee details, match reports, news, links, a sponsorship page and a guestbook. St. Peter's Football Club Plenty of information here on this Bray club. The site contains details of upcoming matches, past results, the committee, and more. It also has a message board and guestbook. Skirmish Skirmish involves running around in the forest shooting each other with paint balls and is great fun. This site has full information about location, pricing, etc. It also has photographs and email contact info. Wicklow Tennis Club Wicklow Tennis Club is located in the heart of Wicklow Town. The site contains league team info, competition highlights and a couple of photos.
