Asgard II training vessel "ASGARD II" is the Irish Sail Training Vessel and was built in Arklow. She was commissioned by the Irish Government and launched on 7 March, 1981. The vessel is a regular participant in Cutty Sark race and the site also contains a chronicles page where crew members can recount their experiences. John Breen Arklow born Wicklow resident singer/songwriter John Breen recently signed to Alternative-Urban records/Atlanta Music Group in the USA and recorded his debut CD at AMG's studio in Atlanta early 2004 under the direction of renowned producer Steven Hawkins.
