Roche Calls On Council To Complete Enniskerry Water Supply Scheme

Deputy Dick Roche has again been in contact with the County Council urging that
the Council should complete all preparatory works on a major scheme for the
improvement of the water supply in Enniskerry and submit an application for
funding to the Department of the Environment and Local Government without
further delay.
"The lack of proper treatment facilities and the shortage of
water storage facilities has posed major problems for the proper supply of water

to the Enniskerry area for some considerable time. While the County Council has
obtained some additional capacity to a temporary connection from Dublin
Corporation it has been clear for some time that a fully upscaled water scheme
is required for Enniskerry. This matter has been allowed to drag on
interminably. I am calling on the Council at this stage to bring the matter to
finality without any further delay" said Deputy Roche.
