East Coast FM secures radio licence for Wicklow until 2013

Wicklow radio station East Coast FM has effectively been awarded the licence for County Wicklow for the period 2003-2013, according to station Manager Director Sean Ashmore.

Commission’s licensing process for the re-advertisement of existing local radio services throughout the country with the licence for County Wicklow, in principle to East Coast FM, subject to contract negotiations.
The chairman of East Coast FM, former county manager Blaise Treacy, said “We’re delighted to be confirmed as the preferred provider of local radio to the county for a further licence term, and wish to thank the many local organizations that supported our bid.” Meanwhile Managing Director Sean Ashmore also expressed his satisfaction at the decision. “We’re proud to have served County Wicklow since 1991 with a quality service and are very pleased with the Commission’s decision, in principle, to renew our contract for the County”, he said
East Coast FM was recently awarded the Endeavour Award for Commerce 2001 last Friday by Bray & District Chamber of Commerce.
