Deputy Liz McManus, who brought a breast check service to Bray, today pledged to extend the service to the entire county if Labour is returned to government on March 17th.

present Government had not allocated sufficient resources to womens healthcare.
`The Breast Check programme has only been established in a few health board areas, even though it was introduced over two years ago. This is a damning indictment of the Government, given the increased incidence of breast cancer in women in recent years", she said.
She added - `Women's lives are being lost while the government squanders taxpayers money on looking after the wealthy. If Bertie Ahern moved as quickly on issues such as the prevention of breast cancer as he does on our roads, Ireland would be a safer place to live."
