Knives used in Manor Kilbride Robbery
March 14th, 2002
By Graham Caswell
Two youth carrying long knives and wearing scarves entered Craul's shop in the West Wicklow village of Manor Kilbride yesterday afternoon. After entering the shop they then accosted two employees and a customer and stole an undisclosed quantity of cash and the contents of the woman's handbag. Nobody was injured in the robbery but the staff and customer were badly shaken.
The robber, who were described as being in their early twenties, escaped towards Dublin in a blue Nissan Maxima car driven by a third youth. The car had an 02-D registeration and had earlier been reported stolen in Tallaght.
