The donation was presented to Susan Jones of the Wicklow branch by Mr. Pat Madden, Main St., Wicklow who is an enthusiastic supporter of Wicklow Daily Lotto.
The `Sound Minds' CD, which will be distributed nationwide, has an impressive list of contributors including Bob Geldof and U2.
According to Lotto spokesman, John Maguire, this is just the first of many similar donations. `The initial proceeds from Wicklow Daily Lotto will go mainly to help the funding of five specific services to people with disabilities and special needs in County Wicklow. These services are located in Bray and Arklow but serve the entire county', he said.
Mr. Maguire added that many more local projects will be helped as the lotto grows.
It’s simple to play the Wicklow daily lotto - a 1 ticket buys four chances to win and it can be
bought in outlets all over the county. The winning numbers are announced each day on East Coast FM on the 7 O’clock news and are available from 7 O’clock on www.wicklowtoday.com.
