the Fine Gael front bench following the party's disastorous showing in the recent general election.
Deputy Timmins will have some learning to do in his new role. Educated at UCG with a BA Degree in Economics & Legal Science, his experience is as a former army officer and so he will be learning about the ins and outs of agricultural and food issues.
However, this is not the first time for deputy Timmins to be a Fine Gael spokesperson. In the past he has served as the party's spokesperson for Defence, Peace keeping and Humanitarian Relief and he has been both deputy spokesperson on Housing and deputy spokesperson on Justice and Defence in the past.
