Gardai Seek Assstance in Tracing Raiders

August 6th, 2002

By Tony Murphy

Gardai in Greystones are seeking the help of the public in locating two criminals who robbed the post office in Greystones on Thursday afternoon last.

Two men entered the premises and escaped with an undisclosed sum of money. They made their getaway in a car that was later found in the Burnaby area of the town.

Despite an extensive search by gardai, there is still no sign of the raiders. Now they are anxious to hear from the general public who may have been in the Greystones area on Thursday afternoon last and who may have seen something suspicious.

They are particularly keen to hear from people who may have been in the Burnaby, Church Road and Mill Road areas, which were the parts of the town used by the raiders.

Those with information may contact the gardai in Greystones, Bray or any garda station.
