Dart Service Back on Track

The large mudslide, which blocked the line on the Killiney section of the track, is now cleared and Dart and Mainline services are running normally with a limited service to Greystones. A spokesperson for Iarnrod Eireann said that the section of the Killiney section of the track was now secure and all services should be running as normal for Friday evening.

Safety inspections have also been carried out on the line after tons of landslides were removed in an operation involving over fifty men and lasting nearly seven days. The early morning Arklow commuter train should run as normal on Monday morning and the Rosslare Inter-city is expected to run as normal serving all stations along the route and running directly into the capital. Boulders have been placed on the slip section and safety checks carried out to ensure against further landslides.
