Greystones Dart Service Suspended until Further Notice
December 12th, 2000
The Greystones and Bray Dart service is still out of operation due to the large mudslide that occurred on Friday. Iarnrod Eireann expect the line to be closed until Thursday or possibly Friday until crews can clear the mudslide and ensure the safety of the service. The landslide was not thought to be as bad until crews investigated and discovered the full extent of the quantity of mud deposited on the Killiney section of the track.

three days until crews can clear the track and ensure there is no possibility of further mudslides onto the section of the line. Mainline inter-city trains are also affected by the mudslide and the Rosslare train now only runs as far as Bray station.
Additional buses have been laid on to facilitate intending commuters between Bray and Greystones and other stations on the effected section of the line. The early morning commuter train out of Arlkow is now replaced by a bus service to Bray and Connolly stations and may not be running again until Wednesday or Thursday of next week. Iarnrod Eireann will notify commuters as soon as the normal Dart and mainline services on the Rosslare route are fully operational.
