The multi-million pound state-sponsored Bray Protection Scheme is to resume work after bad weather stopped the project briefly during the week. A spokesperson for Bray Urban District Council said the project would resume work next week and was on schedule for completion before Christmas.

In recent weeks large numbers of dead marine life has washed ashore as predicted by the group "Beachwatch." Many people consider the entire affair a travesty of local democracy, when in the face of massive local objection and misgivings, regional government and the Department of the Marine ignore the people they supposedly represent.
