All Train Services Back On Track

The Greystones to Dalkey line is now cleared of the landslide debris that blocked the track on Wednesday and Dart and mainline services are running as normal. The landslide which occurred to the north of Killiney station was cleared without great difficulty and Dart stations between Greystones and Dalkey are now running their normal service. The Rosslare to Dublin inter-city and the Arklow to Dublin mainline trains are also running as normal.
However Iarnrod Eireann was criticised on Wednesday over their running of the service and

the fact that this section of the track was blocked again so shortly after the first landslide which closed the track for one week. The company said their engineers were on site and investigating the area with safety being the single most important factor in mind. However the frequency with which the service is disrupted was pointed out as the single most unacceptable factor effecting passengers.
